It seems after DNA they belong to one species. So that this species would develop on Echinospartum, Genista florida, G. cinerascens, G. cinerea, G. polyanthos, G. scorpius and Stauracanthus, and the larva lives in thorns, if the plant has no thorns, then in the stem. This is relativ unusual in Phyllonorycter.
